What We Collect
We collect the information you provide when using Temper: your email address, account credentials, profile details (name, username, bio, photo), chocolate bar logs and ratings, wishlist items, and social connections (follows/followers).
We do not collect location data, device identifiers, or advertising IDs.
How We Use It
We use your data to operate and improve Temper, including providing the app's features, understanding how the app is used, improving the user experience, and communicating with you about your account. We may use anonymised or aggregated data for any purpose, including research and product development.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties or use it for advertising.
What's Public
Bars you mark as public are visible to all users in the community feed. Your profile (name, username, bio, photo) and follow lists are visible to other users. Everything else — your private bars, wishlist, and account details — is only visible to you.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely via Supabase, hosted on AWS. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
Your Rights
You can edit or delete your data at any time within the app. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is irreversible and takes effect within 24 hours.
Children
Temper is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy at any time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
